Privacy Policy

Academic Pro is a free attendance-tracking tool for students. This page explains what data the site touches, what we actually store, and what we don't.

1. Your attendance report stays in your browser

When you paste your ERP attendance report into the calculator, it is processed entirely in your browser. We never send your attendance data, subject names, or percentages to any server. It is saved only in your own browser's localStorage (on your device) so the app can reload it next time you open the site — it never leaves your device.

2. What we store locally on your device

The following are saved only in your browser's local storage, never transmitted to us, and can be cleared any time by clearing your browser's site data:

Your pasted attendance report text
Your theme/colour preferences
Lab-attendance weight settings and Event/Fest hours you enter
A randomly generated device ID (not linked to your name or identity) used only to show you the same reply if you contact us, and to keep promotional popups consistent for you
Which promotional cards you've dismissed, so we don't show them again

3. What we do send to our servers

Only if you actively use these features:

Suggestion / Feedback box: the message you type, plus the random device ID above, is sent to our backend and forwarded to a private Telegram chat so we can read and reply to it.
Push notifications (optional): if you tap "Enable notifications," your browser creates a push subscription which we store so we can notify you when we reply to your suggestion. You can disable this any time in your browser/site settings.

We do not ask for your name, email, college ID, or any other personal identifier for these features unless you choose to type it into your message yourself.

4. Third-party services used on this site

Google Analytics — anonymised usage statistics (pages visited, general device/browser type) to understand how the site is used.
Google AdSense — shows ads on the site. Google may use cookies/device identifiers to personalise ads; see Google's ad policy for details, and you can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
Amazon Associates — "Deals" links on this site are affiliate links; if you buy something through them we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. We don't receive any personal data about your purchase.
Promotional cards — any promo popup you see (courses, apps, mind maps, etc.) links out to third-party sites we don't control; their own privacy policies apply once you leave presentsir.me.

5. Children's privacy

This site is intended for college/university students and is not knowingly directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
